  • Part-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages, ensuring their vision health and overall well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent customer service skills, and an in-depth understanding of ocular physiology and anatomy.
  • Only currently looking for Saturdays
  • We are open to half day as well as full day Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose ocular conditions.
Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments based on individual patient needs. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and preventative measures. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care. Monitor and record vital signs as part of the examination process. Stay current with advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Provide pediatric eye care services, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients. Utilize medical coding for billing purposes related to patient services. Requirements Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state optometry license. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to the visual system. Experience in patient care with a focus on customer service excellence. Familiarity with medical records management systems and HIPAA compliance. Ability to perform medical coding accurately for insurance purposes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
