Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Optometrist to join our dynamic eye care team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose vision problems, and develop personalized treatment plans to improve patients' eye health and quality of life. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive exceptional care in a friendly, professional environment that values innovation and compassion. Duties Perform thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to assess vision and eye health Diagnose and manage ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and refractive errors Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, or other treatments tailored to patient needs Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper use of eyewear or contact lenses Collaborate with ophthalmologists, opticians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Conduct pediatric eye exams and address specific needs related to pediatrics and developmental vision issues Requirements Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice medicine in the designated area Strong knowledge of ophthalmology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Experience working with optical equipment and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Ability to perform comprehensive eye exams including measuring vital signs relevant to ocular health Knowledge of medical coding practices related to eye care procedures and diagnoses Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Commitment to patient care excellence while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA privacy standards Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required; a passion for caring for diverse patient populations is essential Join us in delivering outstanding vision care that transforms lives!
