- Part-time The MedServ Group Part-Time Optometrist We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services to residents in a nursing home and long-term care setting.
- Conducting comprehensive eye examinations for nursing home residents.
- Diagnosing and managing common eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, and other age-related ocular diseases.
- Prescribing eyeglasses as needed.
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records and complete documentation promptly.
- Educating patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment compliance.
- Follow VA policies, HIPAA regulations, and federal healthcare standards. Optometrist Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current state optometry license in good standing.
- Experience working with geriatric populations preferred.
- Strong clinical diagnostic and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred. General Information

Compensation:
$200.00- $300.00 per hour.
- All doctors are 1099 (independent contractors)
