Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Optometrist to join our eye care team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and ocular health. Diagnose and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other ocular conditions. Prescribe medications, therapeutic treatments, and corrective lenses as needed. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers for patient referrals and co-management. Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with advancements in optometry and ocular disease management. Qualifications Finished residency or at least two (2) years of experience
REQUIRED.
Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid Texas Optometry license
PREFERRED.
Experience in medical optometry and ocular disease management preferred. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Work Environment This position is based in a modern clinic located in Plano, TX, equipped with the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies.
