Job Description

Needed:
Orthotic Fitters or DME Clinical Specialists to support the Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. We are seeking skilled, patient‑focused professionals who are ready to make an immediate impact serving Veterans.
Compensation and Benefits:
Sign-on Bonus:
$2,500.00 - $5,000.00 Hourly pay: $40-$48 per hour Medical, Dental, Vision 401(k) Paid Federal Holidays PTO Rapid onboarding
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Onsite at the
Washington DC VA Medical Center Key Responsibilities:
Fit, size, and dispense non‑custom orthotic soft goods, therapeutic footwear, and prefabricated orthoses Construct, shape, and repair common orthotic and prosthetic devices Document patient measurements, fittings, and clinical notes in VA systems Maintain orthotic inventory and supply levels Provide patient instruction on device use and care Support clinic workflow, follow‑up scheduling, and administrative tasks Required Qualifications ABC or BOC Orthotic Fitter Certification OR equivalent experience as: DME Fitter with clinical fitting experience Orthotics Technician Orthotic/Prosthetic Assistant Experience in orthotics, prosthetics, therapeutic footwear, or clinical fitting Strong communication and patient interaction skills Ability to work full‑time onsite at the VA Medical Center Ability to pass VA background and credentialing requirements #IND1
