Our team provides personalized care, evidence‑based solutions, and a supportive environment where patients feel respected and understood. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pedorthist who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have served. Position Summary The Pedorthist will evaluate, design, fabricate, and fit therapeutic footwear and lower‑extremity orthotic devices for patients with a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, limb loss, arthritis, neuropathy, and service‑related injuries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on clinical work, problem‑solving, and building long‑term relationships with patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including gait analysis, foot/ankle evaluation, and footwear needs. Design, modify, and fit custom orthotics, therapeutic shoes, inserts, and bracing solutions. Fabricate or adjust devices using in‑house tools and equipment. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, prosthetists, and VA care coordinators to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients on device use, maintenance, and long‑term foot health. Maintain accurate documentation, including clinical notes, device specifications, and follow‑up outcomes. Participate in occasional community outreach events, veteran wellness programs, or mobile clinic days. Ensure compliance with VA, Medicare, and clinic‑specific standards for pedorthic care. Qualifications Certified Pedorthist (C.Ped) through ABC or BOC (required). Minimum 1-2 years of clinical pedorthic experience preferred; new C.Peds with strong hands‑on skills will be considered. Experience working with diabetic populations, limb‑loss patients, or veterans is a strong plus. Strong understanding of biomechanics, gait analysis, and therapeutic footwear. Ability to fabricate and modify devices using standard pedorthic tools and materials. Excellent communication skills and a patient‑first mindset.
