Position Overview Comprehensive Prosthetics & Orthotics (CPO) is seeking a Certified Pedorthist (CPed) to join our growing clinical team in the Chicago North region . This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative prosthetics and orthotics practice where you'll have strong clinical, technical, and administrative support while providing high-quality pedorthic care to patients across our northern Chicago-area clinics. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of therapeutic footwear, foot orthoses, lower-extremity biomechanics, and patient education. Certified Pedorthists are preferred; however, board-eligible candidates will also be considered. This role supports multiple Chicago North clinics, with travel based on patient and clinic needs. What You'll Do Evaluate patients and collaborate with prescribing providers to develop appropriate pedorthic treatment plans. Provide and fit therapeutic footwear, diabetic footwear, custom foot orthoses, accommodative devices, and shoe modifications. Apply lower-extremity biomechanics principles to address foot and ankle conditions and improve patient mobility, comfort, and function. Educate patients and caregivers regarding device use, wear schedules, footwear selection, and ongoing care. Perform adjustments and modifications to optimize fit, function, and patient satisfaction. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with Medicare, HIPAA, payer, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate closely with CPO clinicians, technicians, administrative teams, physicians, podiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare providers. Help develop and maintain relationships with referral partners throughout the Chicago North region. Stay current on pedorthic techniques, materials, therapeutic footwear, and industry best practices. Support the continued growth and development of CPO's pedorthic services throughout the region. Why Join CPO? You'll also have the opportunity to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of pedorthic services within CPO's Chicago-area clinics. Qualifications Certified Pedorthist (CPed) preferred; board-eligible candidates will also be considered. Strong knowledge of anatomy, foot and ankle pathology, and lower-extremity biomechanics. Knowledge of therapeutic footwear, diabetic footwear, foot orthoses, pedorthic materials, and footwear modification techniques. Strong patient communication and education skills. Ability to maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation. Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, podiatrists, therapists, clinical staff, and other healthcare professionals. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Experience with the Medicare Therapeutic Shoe Program is preferred. Experience within a pedorthic, orthotic, prosthetic, podiatric, or rehabilitation environment is preferred. Applicable state licensure or eligibility for licensure where required. We value experience, but we are more interested in finding the right clinician than establishing an arbitrary number of required years in the field. Schedule & Location Full-time, Monday-Friday Daytime clinical schedule, with hours varying based on clinic and patient needs Supports CPO locations throughout the Chicago North region Local travel between clinics may be required based on patient and operational needs Compensation Salary range: $55,000-$70,000 annually , based on experience, certification status, clinical background, and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a performance-based bonus opportunity . Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
