This is a unique opportunity for someone with a background in rehabilitation, sports medicine, orthopedics, casting, or patient care who wants to build a long-term career in the specialized field of orthotics and prosthetics . Prior orthotics and prosthetics experience is not required. We will train the right person. You will work alongside experienced Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists and receive hands-on training in patient evaluation, casting, digital scanning, fitting, adjusting, and delivering a wide variety of orthopedic devices. This is not a desk job . You'll work directly with patients—from infants and children to adults and seniors—and use both clinical and hands-on skills to help people move better, function better, and live more independently. What You'll Learn & Do You will be trained to assist with and eventually independently perform appropriate aspects of: Orthopedic casting and molding techniques Digital scanning and measurements Cranial remolding helmets for infants Pediatric orthotic care Ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs) Foot orthotics Knee braces and other orthopedic bracing Walking boots and prefabricated orthoses Patient evaluations and follow-up appointments Fitting and adjusting orthopedic devices Patient and family education Clinical documentation Working with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals Supporting our Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists with more complex patient care Your responsibilities will expand as you complete training, demonstrate competency, and gain experience.
