Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic emergency medical services team as a Paramedic, where you will be at the forefront of critical patient care and emergency response. In this vital role, you will provide advanced pre-hospital medical treatment, perform thorough patient assessments, and deliver life-saving interventions in a variety of urgent situations. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive compassionate, efficient care from the scene of an incident through transportation to healthcare facilities. Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing immediate medical attention at the scene and during transport. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations. Administer medications via injections and manage airway obstructions using advanced airway management techniques. Perform critical care procedures such as venipuncture, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Operate and monitor medical equipment (DME) including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion devices during transport. Collaborate with hospital staff to triage patients effectively and prepare detailed handoff reports for emergency room teams. Drive emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and heavy lifting protocols necessary for patient handling. Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions, treatments administered, and vital signs recorded in compliance with medical standards. Qualifications Proven EMT experience with certification; additional paramedic licensure required. Critical care experience preferred, especially within hospital or Level I/II trauma center settings. Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency medicine protocols. Hands-on experience with airway management, venipuncture, injection administration, and medication delivery. Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to perform physical examinations under pressure. Experience in critical care transport environments is highly desirable. Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely while managing heavy lifting tasks during urgent care scenarios. Excellent communication skills for clear documentation and effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
