Job Description
Where You'll Work Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento. Mercy Medical Center Redding is a 266-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and a robust robotic surgery program. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Paramedic, you will provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to critically ill or injured patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
Every day you will rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions, while safely operating emergency vehicles and documenting care.
To be successful, you will demonstrate expert clinical skills, exceptional critical thinking under stress, and compassionate communication, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Maintains established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement program and safety standards. Performs patient systems assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner. Enters patient data into computerized patient care reporting system so that there are no deficiencies. Performs direct patient care and implements patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner while administering medications and performing procedures consistent with EMT certification.
