Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Job Summary Per Diem, Rotate The Paramedic is a licensed Paramedic and functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, or Clinical Manager of the unit. He/she assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that he/she has documented competency to perform. The Paramedic adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice. Responsibilities The Paramedic assists with direct patient care as directed by the nurse and/or physician. The Paramedic must utilize good communication skills. Participates in the Quality Improvement process to improve patient outcomes. Complies with all policies & procedures that pertain to HIPAA including the minimum necessary requirements this job position. Successfully completes department specific competency requirements and certifications. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Minimum:
High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum education required for licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Florida.
EXPERIENCE
None required. One (1) year of Emergency Services experience preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
State of Florida Paramedic License; BLS and ACLS certification; CPI certification within three (3) months of hire into position. EKG competency on hire
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
