Sprint Paramedic Position Details The Sprint Paramedic provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) care while partnering with surrounding Basic Life Support (BLS) agencies to support high-quality emergency medical services. This role also serves as a clinical resource through education, mentorship, community outreach, and collaboration with regional EMS partners. This position is grant funded through June 2027, with the possibility of continued funding beyond that date.
Essential Responsibilities:
Respond promptly and safely to emergency calls while ensuring patient care and scene safety. Assess, prioritize, and provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) care in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice. Administer medications, treatments, and other advanced interventions as authorized by protocols and medical direction. Collaborate effectively with fellow EMS personnel, first responders, law enforcement, fire departments, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Accurately document patient assessments, treatments provided, and patient outcomes to ensure complete and timely medical records. Operate emergency vehicles safely and maintain ambulances, medical equipment, and supplies in a state of readiness. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while advocating for patients' needs throughout assessment, treatment, and transport. What You Offer Current certification as a Paramedic through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and licensure with the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (EMSRB). Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or the ability to obtain and maintain as required. Valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate an emergency vehicle in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
