EMS Adjunct Faculty

Joplin, MO Become a Lion and join the Pride! MSSU is seeking an Adjunct instructor(s) to teach on campus in the area(s) of Emergency Medical Services, beginning August 3, 2026. Candidate must be a Nationally Registered Paramedic with the NREMT, hold a valid State Paramedic license and 3 years of experience as an ALS provider. Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Prehospital Trauma Life Support, International Trauma Life Support, Advanced Medical Life Support, and Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals are preferred credentials. Instructor certifications preferred in one or multiple disciplines. Applicants should provide a detailed letter of application, curriculum vitae, copies of undergraduate and graduates transcripts, as well as the names and contact information of three professional references. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Employment is contingent upon a background check. This position requires a commitment of 20 hours per week. The selected candidate must be available on the Missouri Southern State University campus on Tuesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The remaining hours will be dedicated to conducting clinical rotation site visits and checks within the Joplin area.
