Job Summary and Qualifications The Medical Transport (MT) Paramedic will operate on the Medical Transport Services' Team. The primary duty of the MT Paramedic will be the safe and effective treatment and transport of HCA patients. The MT Paramedic will respond to Transfer Center requests, prioritize patient care, coordinate with other healthcare providers, and facilitate transport appropriately. What you will do in this role: Responds to MT Services requests for the transport of patients from the TCC Provides care in the out of hospital setting, serving as the primary care provider during transport Assesses, plans, implements intervention, and evaluates the appropriate level of patient care according to Florida scope of practice, EMS Protocols, and emergency department policies and procedures Performs diverse duties within the Emergency Department involving an extensive knowledge of protocols, medical techniques, equipment, and the use of a wide range of procedures Maintains competence in thorough patient care documentation and use of both EMS PCR and ED software Performs hand off reports at facility destinations and reports appropriately to nursing staff and ED physicians Ensures readiness of ambulance and all associated equipment for service Attends meetings and in-services as required by departmental policy What qualifications you will need: Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic or a Certificate of program completion in Emergency Medical Services (Paramedic) is required Missouri/Kansas Certification required ACLS-American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider card required PALS-American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS provider card (required within 180 days) EVOC-Emergency Vehicle Operations Course completion certificate, or equivalent (required within 30 days)

preferred ITLS-International Trauma Life Support provider card preferred State Driver's License Required CC-P or FP-C from an ISCB accredited program preferred. ASLS (Required within 180 days)
DRIVING RECORD
This position requires driving an HCA owned vehicle. The candidate must have no more than six points on their record, with no indication of unsafe driving habits.
