Every shift brings something different:

chest pain, trauma, a pediatric code, a farm injury, a stroke alert rolling in from 30 miles out. We need paramedics who can go from assessment to action fast, and who want to be a real part of the team, not someone in the background. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with our ED physicians, RNs and advanced practice providers. You'll use the skills you've built in the field, and you'll grow new ones in a hospital setting. What you'll do Be hands-on from the door. Patient assessments, triage support, IV and IO access, 12-lead EKGs. Run the resuscitation. Take an active seat on the code team: CPR, defibrillation, airway management and ACLS/PALS-guided care under physician direction. Stabilize and support. Splinting, wound care, trauma stabilization, plus procedural support for sedations, lac repairs and orthopedic reductions. Speak EMS fluently. You know what a good hand-off sounds like. You'll be the link between incoming crews and the ED team, so nothing gets lost in transfer. Keep the department moving. Help with patient transport, room turnover and flow, so the next patient gets seen faster. What you bring Active, unencumbered Missouri EMT-Paramedic license NREMT Paramedic certification BLS and ACLS (required) PALS, or the ability to earn it within 6 months ITLS or PHTLS, or the ability to earn it within 12 months A calm head when things get loud Bonus points for 2-3+ years of field paramedic experience Prior in-ED or hospital-based paramedic experience Rural, critical access or high-versatility EMS background Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) certification An associate degree or higher in Paramedicine/EMS Why MVRMC Wide scope.
