Position Description:
(primary functions) Carry out the functions of the faculty in accordance with the Emergency Medical Service•Paramedic Faculty policy and procedures of Coahoma Community College Health Science Division.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Emergency Medical Services Paramedicine, or a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Current certification as a Paramedic; Instructor certification (BLS, ACLS, PALS) preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Paramedic; Clinical and/or instructional experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Adjunct Paramedic Instructor will be responsible for teaching courses in the Paramedic/EMT program, providing academic advising, and collaborating with faculty and healthcare partners to enhance student learning and success. The Adjunct Instructor will also assist with the effective coordination and instruction of clinical and field experiences for EMT and Paramedic students. The Adjunct Instructor will be involved with developing, managing, and evaluating clinical sites, as well as ensuring that students meet program requirements.
