The role:
Paramedic We're looking for a Paramedic who thrives in high-volume, fast-paced clinical environments and takes pride in contributing to a calm, efficient, patient-centered urgent care experience. This is a frontline clinical role — our Paramedics help keep the clinic moving smoothly while supporting providers, nurses, and patients throughout the day. If you enjoy problem-solving, being the calm in the chaos, and working closely with a collaborative care team, you'll fit right in. What you'll do (the essentials): Support patient intake by collecting health histories, vital signs, and insurance information. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and EKGs as ordered. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, including pediatric patients. Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, including equipment sterilization and restocking supplies. Help maintain clinic flow, organization, and readiness throughout the day. Support inventory management and day-to-day clinical operations as needed. Who you are You'll thrive here if you: Stay composed under pressure and adapt quickly as patient needs change. Requirements High school diploma or GED Current NYS EMT-Paramedic certification Knowledge and skills including phlebotomy, performing EKGs and recognizing potentially life-threatening/critical arrhythmias. Valid American Heart Association BLS Certification (or ability to acquire certification prior to the first day of employment).
