On-call EMT/Paramedic

Job Summary Join our dynamic emergency response team as an On-call EMT/Paramedic, where your expertise will be vital in delivering high-quality pre-hospital care in urgent situations. This role offers the flexibility of on-call scheduling while providing critical support during emergencies. You will be responsible for assessing and stabilizing patients with professionalism and compassion, ensuring they receive the best possible care in their most vulnerable moments. Your skills in customer service, patient assessment, and emergency medicine will directly impact lives and contribute to our mission of saving lives and promoting health. Duties Be the first responder to emergency calls at client locations , providing immediate medical attention at the scene. Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiology evaluation to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Maintain detailed records of all interventions, vital signs, medications Deliver essential treatments following NYS medical protocols. Drive safely under urgent conditions, adhering to traffic laws If patient transport to a hospital is needed, collaborate with FDNY, ensuring seamless communication and transfer of patient information Experience Current certification as an EMT or Paramedic Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS are preferred. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting of equipment and prolonged periods of standing or driving in urgent situations. Join us to make a difference when it matters most! PLEASE NOTE

This position is on an on-call basis that pays $150 for EMT'S and $175 for paramedics, per call. Calls are generally an hour long. There are no restrictions to how many calls you can take. You must be comfortable driving your own vehicle to client locations. If you have your own emergency response bag, that is preferred. If not, we will supply you with one.
