Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated emergency medical services team as a Paramedic, where you will be at the forefront of providing critical care and life-saving interventions to patients in urgent situations. In this vital role, you will deliver advanced pre-hospital care, assess patient needs swiftly, and coordinate seamlessly with hospitals and emergency responders. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive timely, compassionate treatment while maintaining safety and professionalism at all times. Responsibilities Provide advanced emergency medical care to patients in diverse settings, including accident scenes, homes, and healthcare facilities. Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses. Manage airway patency through airway management techniques and administer oxygen therapy as needed. Execute critical care transport procedures, ensuring patient stability during transfer to hospitals or trauma centers. Administer medications via injection or other routes following established protocols, including medication administration for pain relief or cardiac emergencies. Conduct venipuncture for blood draws or IV access while maintaining aseptic technique to prevent infection. Collaborate with hospital staff by triaging incoming patients and communicating vital information accurately for seamless continuity of care. Operate emergency vehicles safely, adhering to traffic laws and driving protocols while managing heavy lifting and physical exertion requirements during patient handling. Qualifications Valid EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) certification with experience in emergency medicine settings. Critical care experience is highly preferred, especially within hospital environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers. Proven experience in patient care involving airway management, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support techniques. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage. Skilled in patient assessment, trauma triage, and urgent care procedures with a focus on rapid decision-making under pressure. Experience with hospital procedures such as physical examinations, venipuncture, medication administration, and aseptic techniques. Ability to drive emergency vehicles safely while managing physically demanding tasks like heavy lifting. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and emergency responders.
