Position Summary:
The Paramedic provides care and services to patients of all ages in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and respectful manner in the Critical Care units and works within the parameters set forth by the Tennessee Board of Paramedic Licensure as well as organizational guidelines. Patient and family centered care is delivered in collaboration with the patient, family, and members of the healthcare team under medical and nursing supervision. Paramedics working within the Critical Care units will perform skills and procedures under nursing supervision. Paramedics will also work to support patient care activities in Critical Care Units and to respond to emergency activations (Rapid Response, Code Blue, Code Stroke, Code STEMI) on acute care units.
Position Qualification:
Must successfully complete an EMS Board approved Paramedic course and be Licensed Paramedic in the state of Tennessee. Current ACLS, BTLS, PALS and BLS certifications.
