(sign on contract required) Overview Join our non-emergency response team as an EMT or AEMT, where your quick thinking and compassionate care will make a vital difference in urgent situations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to medical facilities while providing essential pre-hospital care. Your expertise in emergency medicine, patient assessment, and driving will ensure swift, efficient, and safe transportation for those in need. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to saving lives and supporting communities. Responsibilities Safely operate emergency vehicles under urgent conditions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols Provide critical pre-hospital patient care, including airway management, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support techniques Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and physiological evaluations, to determine the appropriate level of care Administer medications and injections as authorized within scope of practice, following aseptic techniques and medical guidelines Assist with triage at emergency scenes or hospital settings, prioritizing patient needs based on severity and urgency Communicate effectively with hospital staff, emergency responders, and team members to ensure seamless patient handoff and care continuity Perform heavy lifting when necessary to safely move patients or equipment, maintaining proper body mechanics and safety standards Qualifications Valid EMT certification with demonstrated EMT experience in emergency medicine settings Prior experience working in hospital environments or Level I/Level II trauma centers is highly desirable Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and critical care transport procedures Proficiency in airway management, venipuncture, medication administration, and vital signs assessment Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely while maintaining focus during high-pressure scenarios Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking as required Join us if you are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in urgent situations!
