Main Hospital Bldg - 1stFlr Work Schedule:
Days 7:00 AM-7:00 PM Primary Purpose Assists physicians and nursing staff in the care and treatment of Emergency Department patients under the direction of Registered Nurse. Maintains continuous collection of data on the status of the patients and ensures the comfort and safety of patients. Education- None Experience
- Must have one (1) year of experience as an EMT-Paramedic in a MICU environment. Equivalent Education and/or Experience
- May have equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of state experience. Certification/Registration/Licensure
- Must be licensed as an EMT-Paramedic in the State of Texas.
- Must have current healthcare provider CPR certification from one of the following: American Heart Association American Red Cross Rescuer Military Training Network.
- Must have current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification on hire or placement in role. Certification must be from one of the following: American Heart Association American Red Cross Military Training Network Skills or Special Abilities
- Must be able to communicate effectively with personnel of other departments, nurses, physicians, patients and families.
- Must be able to demonstrate flexible work habits and skill at setting priorities.
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to perform a variety of assigned duties.
- Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.
