Job Description
This position involves providing patient care and treatment during air medical transports via helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft. The role includes supporting the Program Director with quality improvement, staff development, policy creation, and community outreach. It requires collaboration with various medical and emergency organizations, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring safety and compliance. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved EMT-P Paramedic program, and at least three years of experience in advanced life support or critical care. Preferred experience includes flight/air medical transport. Required certifications are a current EMT-P license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and specific trauma and pediatric courses, all obtained within designated timeframes. Additional certifications like FP-C or CCP-C are also necessary, with ongoing maintenance. State licenses and additional certifications may be required based on services provided. Other duties include interfacing with medical teams, handling administrative tasks, and supporting program activities.
