Experience:
Entry Level Salary:
$52,000 - $95,000 per year Job Details - As a Permanent Paramedic, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare industry. This position involves providing immediate medical attention to patients in emergency situations, such as heart attacks, car accidents, gunshot wounds, and other traumatic injuries. You will be responsible for assessing the patient's condition, administering appropriate medical care, and transporting patients to medical facilities. This role will also involve working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Rapidly assess the condition of patients during emergency situations and determine the appropriate course of medical intervention. Provide advanced life support and medical care to patients, including airway management, cardiac monitoring, 12-lead acquisition, IV/IO initiation, and fluid therapy. Perform trauma assessments and stabilization procedures to manage severe injuries effectively. Handle medical emergencies by administering appropriate treatments and medications. Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure all medical tools and supplies are in working order and meet readiness standards. Restock medical supplies as needed to maintain an efficient and effective work environment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients. Document patient information, treatment plans, and interventions in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a paramedic or in a similar role. Must hold a valid state Paramedic license. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Demonstrated proficiency in airway management, cardiac monitoring, 12-lead acquisition, IV/IO initiation and fluid therapy, trauma assessment and stabilization, and medical emergency management. Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to make quick judgments in high-stress situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Physical stamina and resilience to work in demanding and fast-paced environments. Must have a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate emergency vehicles. Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
