Responsibilities Under general supervision, assists staff with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care which supports and compliments nursing practice. The Paramedic initiates and provides care within the scope of practice as defined by law. Provides patient care to a wide range of emergency conditions and to all patient populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric. Qualifications Registered with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and must maintain active registration status. Must have and maintain a State of Wisconsin Paramedic License. Must have current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS),Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) and maintain certification. 2 years experience providing care for emergency patients in pre-hospital or hospital environment. Must demonstrate knowledge and ability to work in a mass casualty event. Proficient use of technical office equipment including computer for word processing/spreadsheet/database/e-mail/electronic calendars and other medical applications and/or other job specific office technology.
