Personal Counselor Position Summary The Personal Counselor's primary responsibility is to offer guidance to the members of American Care in regards to their daily issues or concerns, and ascertain that the patient(s) experience at the center is a highly satisfied experience. Personal Counselor Essential Job Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Resolve complaints brought up by patients in an expeditious and best possible way. Help patients apply for Food Stamps, Medicaid and temporary cash assistance. Assist patient when they have issues with their health insurance benefits. Translate or read letters to patients who have trouble reading or understanding correspondence from health plans, etc. Assist members to login to google and allow member to write a review of their experience. Schedule patient transportation and appointments, if the front desk is busy. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or GED diploma Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience Customer Service experience IND1
