Job Description

Join the Woodlawn Team as an External Relations Liaison! As an External Relations Liaison, you will play a vital role in becoming the primary connection between the hospital, external agencies, patients and families!
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
: High school diploma/GED or relevant experience preferred but not required. Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique as required handling various telephone and in-person communication with patients, guests, and other medical providers in a professional manner. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount interest, proportions percentages, and volume. Ability to effectively present information in one-one and small group situations to patients, patients' representatives, and other employees of the organization. Ability to type, operate a computer, and a familiarity of medical technology.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Acts as the hospital's point of contact for assigned outside agencies and community care partners. Maintain accurate documentation of agency communication and follow-up activities according to hospital policy. Build and maintain positive professional relationships with other community service providers. Helps to resolve service-related concerns, communication gaps, or delays involving outside agencies. Ensure all activities comply with hospital policies, patient privacy standards, and regulatory requirements Assists with and prepares cost estimates for patients with health insurance plans and uninsured patients as defined in the Federal No Suprises Act . Helps assist with patient inquires Refers accounts to biller when insurance problems are identified & Reviews and resolves self-pay credit accounts in host system. Full-time, day shift, no weekends, no holidays! Monday-Friday! On-Site in Rochester, Indiana!
