New Mexico Behavioral Healthcare LLC is looking for a compassionate and driven Patient Advocate to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. In this vital role, you'll serve as a bridge between patients and the healthcare system, ensuring individuals receive the support, resources, and care they deserve. If you're passionate about mental health and making a real difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients navigating behavioral healthcare services Assist patients in understanding their rights, treatment options, and care plans Address patient concerns, grievances, and inquiries in a timely and empathetic manner Facilitate access to mental health, substance use, and community support services Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and advocacy efforts Performs other duties as assigned by the
Director of Quality and Risk Management Requirements:
Experience in behavioral health, social services, case management, or a related field Strong knowledge of mental health and substance use treatment systems Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations Empathetic, patient-centered approach with a commitment to advocacy Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the Albuquerque community
