Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) to join our team at RevCore Recovery Center and provide services at the Center for Urban Community Services. As a CRPA, you will work directly with clients in various stages of recovery, offering peer support, guidance, and encouragement. You will serve as a role model for individuals in recovery, using your lived experience and professional training to help clients navigate their recovery journey. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting others in their recovery, has strong interpersonal skills, and is committed to empowering individuals to make positive changes in their lives.Key Responsibilities:
Peer Support:
Provide individual peer support to clients in recovery, sharing your lived experience and utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients through their recovery process.Recovery Coaching:
Help clients set and achieve recovery goals, provide encouragement, and assist in overcoming barriers to recovery, including navigating the healthcare system and accessing resources. Advocate forClients:
Help clients access community resources, including housing, employment, and legal support, and assist with referrals to other healthcare or social service providers as needed.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions, including progress notes and case coordination. Ensure compliance with confidentiality and other applicable regulations.Crisis Support:
Provide immediate support during times of crisis, de-escalating situations and offering practical strategies for maintaining recovery.Qualifications:
Required 1 of the following: CRPA certification Knowledge of and experience in the recovery process from substance use and mental health disorders.Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others. Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in recovery. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.Job Types:
