- Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am
- 5:00 pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer up to 4 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am
- 5:00 pm EST, Monday
- Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
Handle inbound and make outbound calls to schedule appointments for patients within American Health Network's specialty practices Enter information into patient charts and send tasks to clinical sites Review and check patient insurance eligibility Ensure patient confidentiality with the handling of all patient health information and medical records Communicate all progress and issues with the call center management team Scan and import documents into patient charts Perform all other related duties as assigned You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience Must be 18+ years of age OR older 2+ years of experience working in a healthcare OR a customer service position 2+ years of experience in a role requiring clear, positive, and cooperative verbal and written communication skills, as information will be entered into patient records Experience with computers and Windows based programs Ability to work full time (40 hours / week), Monday- Friday. Employees are required to work during our normal business hours of 8:00 am
- 5:00 pm EST.
Preferred Qualifications:
Call center experience Experience with call deescalation EPIC experienceTelecommuting Requirements:
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet serviceSoft Skills:
