Job Description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Oncology Nurse Navigator to manage a comprehensive caseload of oncology members. The role involves delivering individualized navigation, education, and clinical support from diagnosis through survivorship while ensuring effective communication and care coordination within the comprehensive care system. Key Responsibilities Manage a full caseload of oncology members, delivering individualized navigation, education, and clinical support. Conduct comprehensive oncology intake assessments to evaluate member needs and care priorities. Educate members and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, and available resources using evidence-based guidelines. Provide culturally competent bilingual support for Spanish-speaking members. Coordinate multidisciplinary care and facilitate communication among members, providers, and care teams. Identify and address barriers to care, connecting members with appropriate resources. Maintain accurate documentation of member interactions and care coordination activities. Complete outreach, follow-up, and care coordination activities within established expectations. Participate in quality assurance processes and team meetings to improve member experiences. Collaborate with nurse leaders, social workers, and cross-functional partners to support member outcomes. Follow established clinical workflows and documentation standards consistently. Qualifications Active RN licensed in a compact state with eligibility to be licensed in all 50 states. BSN degree is required. Bilingual in Spanish/English. Oncology Certified Nurse. AONN+ (Oncology nurse navigation certification) is preferred. Windows and Microsoft Office proficiency. Experience 3+ years of experience with Oncology nursing. Skills Technical skills in Windows and Microsoft Office. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Additional Requirements Must be able to speak Spanish fluently. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
