Job Description

Community Healthcare of Texas has provided Hospice and Palliative Care Services since 1996. Community Healthcare of Texas has cared for patients with serious and terminal illnesses throughout North Central Texas. Providing compassionate care for those living with an illness while supporting those caring for a loved one is the mission of CommunityHealthcare of Texas.

Community Healthcare of Texas is currently recruiting for a Triage Team Assistant.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide administrative support to the Triage department.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONSSupports the role of the Triage RN by attending to non-medical phone calls consisting of DME needs, staff ETAs, and scheduling. Collaborates with the RN triage and call teams to assist with scheduling visits to field staff. Responds to DME needs by scheduling deliveries and pickups for all patients. Attends to inquiries received via fax, email, and phone. Communicates directly with individuals and families to provide information about eligibility requirements, application details, payment methods, and applicants' legal rights during intake assessment. Provide effective communication to patients, staff members, other health care professionals, and referral sources. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma required (Some college preferred)1+ year experience in a clerical settingExperience in a healthcare settingTyping and PC skills requiredReasonable Accommodations Statement To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
