Summary:
Under general supervision, performs specific housekeeping and janitorial duties in the operating room. Assists with turnover of Operating Rooms between cases following standard processes and guidelines. Unloading of stock in breakdown area and transport to OR for replenishing of supplies. Functions as a Transporter in the surgery department as directed by Operating Room Charge Nurse or Manager. Completes Terminal Room cleaning for all Operating Rooms every twenty-four (24) hours.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING
Current BLS or must be completed within thirty (30) days of employment.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to lift, push and/or pull a minimum of 50 pounds and be able to stoop, bend, and reach, all to keep the environmental areas of the Surgical Services Department clean and to eliminate sources of cross infection. Will be expected to walk or stand for long periods of time. May be exposed to infectious diseases with protective measures and follow up treatment provided. May be asked to work overtime with little or no advance notice. This job will be authorized 48.00 hours bi-weekly. ">
