Job Description:
Manages the Capacity Management Application and addresses barriers on the floor. Facilitates training for new transporters. Keeps direct supervisor informed of successes and needs for assistance. Addresses associates' concerns promptly and ensures appropriate actions are taken. Mentors and provides constructive feedback. Initiates activities to enhance revenues and support cost reduction and containment. Communicates necessary information to care team members while following HIPAA guidelines. Monitors staff use of iPods to receive and accept transport requests from Capacity Management. Ensures staff use appropriate assistive devices for patient movement. Assists the team in transporting patients to and from designated areas of the hospital. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Decision-making skills in determining need for clinical intervention. [Required] Proper use of transfer assistive devices such as lifts, gait belts, slide boards, and walkers. [Required]
