Competitive salary Opportunity for advancement Training & development We are seeking an Intra-facility Transporter to join our team at the Women's Health Clinic in Des Plaines and Western and Diversey location. The type of person we are looking for: Consistently dependable and can come to work on time. Take responsibility for their own actions. Can follow directions when given. Has the ability to read, comprehend English or Spanish to be able to communicate with the patients. Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs. Must be able to adhere to HIPPA policy and ensure privacy, confidentiality and patient rights. Must follow appropriate dress code = Scrubs of matching colors Must be able to work in a center where there is Bloodborne Pathogens. Must be able to work on Saturday.
Education :
Minimum:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Intra-facility Transporter Loads and unloads patient equipment, (walker, wheelchair, etc.) Manages difficult or emotional patient situations. Responds promptly to patient needs. Solicits patient feedback to improve service. Responds to requests for service and assistance. Meets commitments. Performs miscellaneous errands Observes safety and security procedures. Reports on potentially unsafe conditions to the Safety Officer. Use equipment and materials properly. Always places patient and his/her needs first. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. At least 6 months in a transporting/housekeeping in a medical office is very much preferred. Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Housekeeping:
Cleans surgical suite utilizing the cleaning and disinfection guidelines as described in the Exposure Control Manual. Documents each cleaning of the operating room(s) on the appropriate log. Cleans rooms, bath, offices, halls and other areas by performing special duties. Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition. Distributes laundered articles and linens. Replace soiled drapes and cubicle curtains. Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floor. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dusts furniture, polish metalwork. Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels and sills. Empties wastebaskets. Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
Pay :
$ 17.00 - $18.00 and then after a year we will discuss pay increase
Hours:
Full time. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 9am-3pm
