Manager of Patient Transportation LCMC Health - 3.3 Metairie, LA Job Details Full-time 14 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Customer communication Inpatient experience BLS Certification Hospital experience Full Job Description Your job is more than a job. This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this department. GENERAL DUTIES
Transports hospital patients by studying patient service schedules and planning movement schedules. Ensures accurate and timely dispatch of transport requests to ensure effective patient care. Ensures all vehicles are safe, clean and legally compliant. Coordinates schedules for drivers and patients needing transportation. Meets hospital patient transport financial objectives by estimating requirements and contributing to the development of annual budget. Orders transports oxygen tanks to have a supply on hand for the transporters to use for patients. Ensures collection of the wheelchairs from around the hospital and returning them to the designated areas. Receives, records, responds to feedback from patients and visitors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent AND 1 year of experience in Inpatient Services. 2 years of work experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (CPR, BLS) - American Heart Association (TOURO / WJMC)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills/interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of the E-Time system.
Preferred:
Ability to utilize multitasking skills.
Preferred:
Ability to recognize potential problems.
