We deliver care for serious life-threatening injuries/illnesses, and your everyday health needs, including labor and delivery. We offer specialty care for heart/vascular disease, lung and sleep disorders, mental health conditions, and women's health. We offer a wide range of outpatient services, including diagnostic imaging, lab tests, respiratorytherapyand rehabilitation therapy services. WhatYou'llDo As aPatient CareAssistant,under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures,youmay be assigned a variety of duties designed toassistwith the direct care of the patient. This may include assisting patients with activities of daily living and supporting nurses in completing orders andlocatingshared equipment within the hospital.

You will providetimelyand efficient completion of these tasks.

Interpersonal skills are necessary to communicate effectively and relate politely to patients,visitorsand fellow staff members. Patient CareAssistant Job Responsibilities Must be able to successfully complete orientation/training programs for the position asevidencedby completion of competencies. Must be able to work effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and promote collaboration and a positive work environment. Must have computer skills to be able to enter and retrieve patient information. Performs andassistswiththerapeutic andprocedures. Observes and records pertinent information, consultswithand reports significant reactions and changes in patient condition to theappropriate RegisteredNurse. Responsible for ensuring that the patient's pain is reported toLicensedNurse. The above is intended to describe the generalcontent ofand requirements for the performance of this job. A minimum of six (6)monthsexperience with direct patient care is preferred. BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. What You Bring As aPatient CareAssistant,you bringthe ability toassistwithactivities of daily living.

You have the knowledge tomonitorvital signs, help transport patients, provide medical supporttasksandassistwith environmental and safety duties.
