RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Patient Monitor for our Sitter Unit, in our New Brunswick Facility.Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Basic Life Support (CPR) throughAmerican Heart Association Scheduling Requirements :
Night Shift, 16 hours per week (2 shifts per week), 11p-7:30a, includes every other weekend and some holidays.Essential Functions:
- Complies with patient care decisions made by the professional staff and accepts responsibility for following instructions, fulfilling assignments and learning from feedback
- Follows all Suicidal Precautions and Close Observation monitoring policies and procedures
- Observes and reports patient's conditions, behavior, and complaints to the nurse
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality
- Observes and applies appropriate interventions
- Maintains a safe and orderly work/patient care environment
- Assists patients with daily living activities (i.e.; feeding, dressing patients, showering/bathing).
- Transfers, escorts, transports, and ambulates patients
- Assures patients have correct ID bands
- Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner
- Handles and disposes of infectious and hazardous materials per policies and procedures
- Maintains standards of behavior as established in the Organizational Ethics Codes of Conduct Policy Patient Monitoring
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information
