Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a X-Ray Assistant - Cat Scan. In this role, the successful candidate Transports patients, supplies, and laboratory items in a safe efficient manner throughout the facility. Assists in the delivery of mail as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
Delivers supplies, mail and laboratory items as directed Performs other duties as assigned Transports patients to and from bedside according to correct mode of transportation as directed. Ensures patient identification and information matches record log before transporting. Notifies nurse of patient s arrival and departure from the unit as well as the tele-tech on the cardiac monitored units. Properly manages all transport equipment. Cleanssanitizes transport equipment after use. Returns all transport equipment to the proper storage area when not in use. Practices safe handling and storage of oxygen tanks according to policy. Maintains patient safety and handles all patients in a calm and reassuring manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or GED. Good communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills. Basic computer skills.
