Care Attendant

Join our team as a Full-Time Care Attendant! A Care Attendant provides basic patient care and ensures a safe and clean environment under the guidance of nurses and physicians. The role includes assisting with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, toileting, and moving patients, while also performing safety checks and keeping patient rooms organized.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Support patient care by helping with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, moving, toileting, repositioning). + Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, including performing safety checks and cleaning patient areas. + Assist in stocking supplies, delivering meals and water, and distributing patient mail. + Observe patients closely, reporting any changes in condition to the nurse. + Support clerical tasks and communication within the healthcare team. + Follow hospital policies, maintain professionalism, and adhere to safety guidelines. + Provide companionship and supervision for patients when needed. + Respond to emergency situations within the scope of the role. + If no previous patient care training, successful completion of UPMC care attendant(sitter) training program

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
