Job Summary and Qualifications As a Transporter in Patient Transport, you will be responsible for the transportation of patients, equipment, supplies, and specimens throughout the facility. You will clean and maintain equipment for transporting, and maintain friendly and professional interactions with patients and family members. You will transport patients using the appropriate mode of transportation as indicated on the exam requisition You will notify nursing staff of patient location, and will sign patients in and out appropriately You will monitor the patient's general health while transporting and report any significant changes in patient condition You will prioritize the retrieval of patients using the exam schedule and request of technologists You will facilitate the comfort and needs of the patient before, during, and after the exam You will perform minor equipment repairs and general upkeep Job Requirements Experience Previous Imaging Services experience - preferred 1 year of experience in the medical field - preferred Education High school diploma or GED equivalent Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy Benefits St. David's Round Rock Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
