Job Summary Requirements:
Extensive equine / large animal knowledge, handling practices, restraint, and a basic knowledge of general sanitation principles is
REQUIRED.
Role Responsibilities :
Conduct a variety of cleaning duties throughout the hospital. Provide restraint for both inpatient and outpatient procedures performed in the Equine/large animal hospital as needed. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Perform daily maintenance cleaning in a timely efficient and thorough manner. Uphold proper safety protocols. Properly restrain each type of animal presented. Multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Interact with supervisors & co-workers in a friendly, team-oriented manner. Proficiently perform any lawful task asked of by the veterinarians or technicians.
Specific Duties:
Restraint of animals presented for procedures. Cleaning up after procedures performed throughout hospital (Standing OR, Radiology, Equine exam rooms, etc.) Restock ordered inventory. Turn over recovery stalls after surgical and MRI procedures. Assist the veterinarians and technicians as needed.
