Shift days/hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30am-6pm Who we are Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is a multi-species, multi-department hospital offering: Small Animal General Practice 24-Hour Small Animal Emergency Integrative Medicine Services Large Animal Field Service Equine Referral Hospital with boarded specialists in Surgery and Internal Medicine In-house Laboratory We have proudly served the Pacific Northwest since 1963 as a full-service, multi-species practice. With more than 20 doctors and a team of 75+ staff members, we provide professional veterinary care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. We are proud to be AAHA accredited, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary excellence. Our hospital is well equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, MRI, multiple fully equipped surgical suites, telemetry, and comprehensive ICU facilities designed to support complete inpatient care. We also maintain a robust in-house laboratory. Our team includes receptionists, veterinary assistants, licensed veterinary technicians, and doctors working together to deliver excellent care to our patients and clients. Job Summary Requirements:
Extensive equine / large animal knowledge, handling practices, restraint, and a basic knowledge of general sanitation principles is
REQUIRED.
Role Responsibilities :
Conduct a variety of cleaning duties throughout the hospital. Provide restraint for both inpatient and outpatient procedures performed in the Equine/large animal hospital as needed. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Perform daily maintenance cleaning in a timely efficient and thorough manner. Uphold proper safety protocols. Properly restrain each type of animal presented. Multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Interact with supervisors & co-workers in a friendly, team-oriented manner. Proficiently perform any lawful task asked of by the veterinarians or technicians.
Specific Duties:
Restraint of animals presented for procedures. Cleaning up after procedures performed throughout hospital (Standing OR, Radiology, Equine exam rooms, etc.) Restock ordered inventory. Turn over recovery stalls after surgical and MRI procedures. Assist the veterinarians and technicians as needed. Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $18-20/hour.
