The ideal instructor will create a safe, positive, and motivating class environment that welcomes participants of varying fitness and experience levels. Services & Responsibilities Lead engaging, safe, and effective group Spin/cycling classes at mutually agreed-upon class times. Independently plan and deliver classes using professional training, experience, and instructional techniques. Assist participants with proper bike setup, positioning, and equipment orientation as appropriate. Provide modifications and guidance to accommodate varying fitness and experience levels while remaining within the instructor's professional scope of practice. Maintain current knowledge of group cycling, fitness, wellness, and industry best practices. Promote a welcoming and professional experience for Club members and guests. Maintain attendance records or other basic class information as reasonably needed for Club programming. Promptly communicate equipment or safety concerns associated with classes. Use Club facilities and equipment responsibly and maintain an orderly instructional area. Coordinate with the Club regarding class scheduling, facility availability, and other administrative matters related to the contracted services. Qualifications Prior group fitness and/or cycling instruction experience preferred. Current group fitness, cycling/Spin, personal training, or other applicable professional certification. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Ability to safely demonstrate and instruct group cycling exercises and techniques. Ability to lift or reposition equipment weighing up to approximately 35 pounds when necessary. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional, member-focused approach. Independent Contractor Requirements Maintain applicable professional certifications throughout the contracted engagement. Maintain appropriate professional and/or general liability insurance. Provide required independent contractor documentation, including a completed Form W-9. Enter into Moon Valley Country Club's Independent Contractor Agreement prior to providing services. This is an independent contractor opportunity and not an offer of employment . The instructor will provide services as an independent professional and will exercise their own professional judgment regarding instructional methods and techniques, subject to reasonable Club facility, safety, and member-service standards.
