Role Description Fitness is the vehicle, but confidence, a sense of belonging and community are the real outcomes. This is a part-time, on-site role located in the CA Bay Area for an Adaptive Trainer. We are seeking roles in several different cities (Concord, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Brentwood, Antioch, Richmond, Oakland). The Adaptive Trainer will work closely with clients of varying abilities to assess individual needs, support and execute personalized training plans, and provide one-on-one or group coaching. The role also involves monitoring client progress, ensuring safety during workouts, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Trainers will collaborate with a team of professionals, participate in educating clients on physical wellness, and ensure a welcoming environment for all participants. Qualifications Knowledge and experience in Fitness Training, Exercise Programming, and Adaptive Techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients of all abilities Understanding of working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a strong advantage - a heart for this underserved community. Ability to assess individual fitness needs and customize training routines accordingly Certification in Personal Training, Adaptive Fitness, or related areas (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, CAPT or similar) - we can help you attain these. First Aid and CPR certification Organizational and professional skills to manage sessions and maintain workout safety protocols Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field is a bonus Embark on a rewarding journey where your expertise transforms lives!
