At Opalo Yoga & Pilates, we believe yoga is more than a workout or a discipline, it is a practice that brings people together. It creates space for connection, growth, support, and a stronger sense of community. We are looking for a teacher who can guide a safe, traditional, and empowering Hot Yoga 26 & 2 practice while helping every student feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged in their individual journey.
Our ideal teacher brings strong knowledge of the 26 & 2 sequence, understands proper alignment and modifications, and genuinely enjoys building relationships with students. We welcome teachers who believe that yoga should be accessible to different ages, backgrounds, body types, and experience levels. Responsibilities Lead safe, engaging, and well-paced Hot Yoga 26 & 2 classes . Create a welcoming environment where new and experienced students feel comfortable practicing together. Clearly guide students through the traditional postures and breathing exercises with attention to alignment, technique, and safety. Offer appropriate modifications and options so students can practice at their own level. Encourage students to listen to their bodies and develop strength, flexibility, focus, and confidence over time. Learn students' names, build genuine relationships, and help create a strong sense of community within the studio. Support beginners with patience and encouragement while continuing to challenge experienced practitioners. Arrive prepared and on time to welcome students and help create a positive experience before, during, and after class. Help maintain a clean, organized, and respectful studio environment. Communicate professionally and warmly with students, fellow instructors, and studio staff. Participate in studio events, workshops, community activities, and special classes when available. Continue developing your knowledge of yoga, anatomy, biomechanics, movement, and safe teaching practices. Requirements Minimum 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (200 YTT) certification from a recognized yoga training program. Experience teaching Hot Yoga 26 & 2 , Bikram-style yoga, or a comparable hot yoga practice. Strong understanding of the 26 & 2 sequence, alignment, anatomy, and safe movement principles. Ability to confidently guide students with different levels of experience and physical ability. Warm, clear, and encouraging communication style. Dependable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team. Genuine interest in getting to know students and helping build a supportive local yoga community. Current CPR/AED certification required or willingness to obtain it. Additional training or certifications in Hot Yoga 26 & 2, Pilates, fitness, mobility, breathwork, meditation, or other movement practices are a plus. Customer service or fitness studio experience is helpful but not required.
