Part-Time Recreation Leader City of Mountain House Mountain House, CA Job Details Part-time $16.90 - $20.54 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Community engagement Customer relationship building Phone communication Safety inspections for hazard identification Inventory management Collaborating with government agencies Administrative experience Cleaning Patrolling Marketing Stakeholder relationship building Entry level Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description JOB Under direct supervision, the Recreation Leader assists in the operation of recreation and community service programs including but not limited to facility rentals, volunteer functions, youth programs, senior activities, leisure enrichment classes, City special events, administrative support and customer service, and oversees the public's proper use of community recreational facilities.
Receives general supervision from a Recreation Manager and/or Recreation Coordinator. Work is performed with a moderate degree of independence, subject to policy direction by the City of Mountain House.
Attends monthly program meetings; provides ideas for program content; assists with implementation programming.
Establishes positive working relationships with representatives of community organizations, state/local agencies and associations, City management and staff, and the public.
Completes inventory of necessary program supplies.
Works cooperatively with volunteers and community organizations to build coalitions that will improve services and programs.
Provides feedback regarding program and special event development.
Oversees participants in a recreation program, activity or facility.
Assists in leading recreation activities in program areas such as youth programs, senior activities, volunteer functions, leisure enrichment classes, and special events.
Answers the phone and responds to emails, provides information to callers, answers program related questions and provides exceptional customer service.
Assists customers at the front counter.
Builds and maintains positive working relationships with co-workers, other City employees and the public using principles of good customer service.
Distributes promotional and marketing information.
Provides assistance to customers inquiring about or using City facilities; monitors facility rental applications.
Provides facility and exhibit orientations and/or tours including appropriate tour materials.
Monitors the facility during the duration of scheduled rental periods, scheduled classes or city programs; ensures compliance with all facility rules and regulations, anticipates and resolves issues quickly.
Function as supervising attendant for evening rentals and weekday evening shifts, as necessary.
Monitors patrons, patrols parks and enforces rules to ensure that permit areas are safe, clean, and functional; notifies Public Safety as deemed necessary.
Observes park conditions to ensure that permit areas, including picnic areas and fields are within appropriate standards.
Opens, closes, secures and maintains a safe program environment at City facilities; conducts routine safety checks.
Sets up and prepares tables, chairs, equipment, and supplies for programs or scheduled activities; Assists renters, visitors, and instructors with equipment setup/function and general service requests.
Completes facility cleaning checklist during assigned shifts and notes items of concern to supervisor.
Performs related duties as assigned.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
