In this role, you will design and deliver a variety of group exercise sessions that motivate participants, promote healthy lifestyles, and foster a positive community atmosphere. Your passion for fitness and ability to connect with diverse audiences will help create an inclusive environment where everyone feels empowered to push their limits and enjoy the benefits of physical activity. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your expertise while making a meaningful impact on members' lives. Responsibilities Lead engaging group fitness classes such as total body, yoga, cycling, zumba, zumba gold, aqua, silver sneakers or kickboxing, ensuring proper technique and safety. Develop innovative class plans that cater to different skill levels and fitness goals while maintaining high energy and motivation. Educate participants on body mechanics, physiology, anatomy, and proper form to maximize effectiveness and prevent injuries. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from individuals of all backgrounds and fitness levels. Promote upcoming classes and programs to increase member participation through effective communication and fitness sales techniques. Monitor class attendance and provide personalized feedback or modifications as needed to ensure participant safety and satisfaction. Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices in group fitness Requirements Proven experience in leading group fitness classes across various formats such as aerobics, dance-based workouts Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and program design principles for safe and effective exercise instruction. Certification in group fitness instruction from a recognized organization; additional certifications in Zumba, Yoga, Cycling (spin), Silver Sneakers are highly desirable. Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of participants while maintaining a lively and positive atmosphere. Familiarity with gym equipment and facilities related to body conditioning exercises. Ability to adapt class content for different skill levels and individual needs while ensuring participant safety at all times. Strong communication skills combined with a passion for health promotion and community building within a health club setting.
