In this role, you will lead engaging, safe, and effective seated fitness classes tailored to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire participants to achieve their personal health goals while enjoying a motivating and supportive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact through fitness instruction that emphasizes safety, technique, and fun. Responsibilities Lead chair-based group fitness classes incorporating various exercise routines such as aerobics, strength training, yoga, Pilates, cycling, and dance-based workouts. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and ensure participants understand correct body mechanics to maximize safety and effectiveness. Design inclusive workout programs tailored to different ability levels, focusing on mobility, flexibility, endurance, and strength. Monitor participant progress during classes, offering personalized coaching and modifications as needed to accommodate individual needs. Maintain a safe environment by applying manual handling techniques and ensuring proper use of equipment; respond promptly to any medical or safety concerns using first aid or CPR/AED skills. Foster an energetic, motivating atmosphere that encourages participation, confidence, and enjoyment among all attendees. Stay updated on industry best practices in biomechanics, physiology, and group fitness trends to continually enhance class quality. Skills Proven experience in group fitness instruction with certifications in fitness industry disciplines such as Yoga, Pilates, CrossFit, or Body Mechanics. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics essential for designing safe exercise routines. Skilled in coaching diverse populations with motivational fitness coaching techniques that inspire sustained engagement. Excellent communication skills for clear demonstration of exercises and effective client interaction. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when setting up equipment or assisting participants with exercises. Knowledge of first aid procedures including CPR and AED operation; certification preferred but not mandatory if willing to obtain upon hire. Experience with program design tailored for seated exercises that improve mobility and overall well-being. Familiarity with sports coaching or dance backgrounds is advantageous for creating lively class environments.
