Group Exercise Instructor - Independent Contractor Timuquana Country Club Jacksonville, FL Job Details Contract $30 - $40 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Certified Personal Trainer CPR Certification Certified Fitness Instructor Teaching AED Certification Full Job Description Timuquana Country Club | Jacksonville, Florida Timuquana Country Club is seeking energetic, dependable, and engaging Group Exercise Instructors to provide fitness classes for our members on an independent contractor basis. We are interested in instructors who can offer regularly scheduled weekly classes as well as qualified instructors who are available to provide substitute coverage when opportunities arise. We welcome a variety of class formats and specialties, including strength and conditioning, functional fitness, mobility and flexibility, yoga, Pilates, HIIT, cycling, and other group fitness formats. Successful instructors will be comfortable working with participants of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels and will create a welcoming, safe, and engaging class environment consistent with the service standards of Timuquana Country Club. Qualifications Current group exercise, personal training, or specialty fitness certification preferred CPR/AED certification preferred Previous group fitness instruction experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to safely instruct and modify exercises for varying fitness levels Professional, dependable, and member-focused Ability to provide regularly scheduled classes and/or substitute coverage Experience teaching multiple class formats is a plus Independent Contractor Opportunity This is an independent contractor opportunity , not an employee position. Instructors may be engaged for regularly scheduled classes, substitute coverage, or both, based on instructor availability and the needs of the Club. Compensation is provided on a per-class basis and will be discussed based on experience, certifications, and class format.
