Job Description
Position Summary Hammock Beach Resort is seeking an energetic and engaging Aqua Fitness Instructor to lead water aerobics classes for resort members and guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness, creates a welcoming environment for participants of all fitness levels, and delivers safe, effective, and enjoyable aquatic workouts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead scheduled water aerobics and aqua fitness classes in a professional and enthusiastic manner. Provide modifications and exercise options to accommodate varying fitness levels and physical abilities. Ensure participant safety by following proper exercise techniques and aquatic safety guidelines. Create a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages member and guest participation. Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes. Maintain a clean and organized pool area and report any safety concerns to management. Build relationships with members and guests while providing exceptional customer service consistent with Hammock Beach Resort standards. Promote overall wellness programs and encourage participation in fitness offerings. Qualifications Current group fitness certification preferred. Aqua fitness certification required. CPR/AED and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe. Previous experience teaching group fitness or aquatic exercise classes preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with participants of all ages and fitness levels. Physical Requirements Ability to demonstrate exercises and remain active throughout class duration. Ability to stand, walk, and move in and around the pool environment. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed. Schedule Contract position with flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on class schedules and resort needs.
